Leadpages Competitors Alternatives

The 6 Best Leadpages Competitors and Alternatives

When it comes to collecting leads, Leadpages is one of the most popular tools around. But that doesn’t mean it’s your only option for creating lead capture pages. And it’s certainly not your only means of collecting customer data. While Leadpages is rather easy to use and most likely integrates with your CRM of choice, it does have its drawbacks.

Compared to some of the other lead capture options we’ll discuss, Leadpages customization options are rather lacking in scope (despite the fact that the tool has recently been upgraded to include drag-and-drop customization). Additionally, you’ll need to pay extra for access to most of the templates offered by Leadpages, as well.

So, let’s take a look at some of the other tools you can use to help capture information about your audience members, generate targeted leads, and ultimately increase your conversion rate.

Leadpages Alternatives To Help You Generate More Leads

The following article will discuss the pros and cons of several alternative lead-collecting tools.

While each tool has its advantages and disadvantages, the main thing to consider is whether or not the tool will work for you and your company. Depending on your company’s needs, as well as its current financial situation, each one of these tools may be a viable option.

In other words, don’t discount a specific tool because it’s not what you’re looking for today. While you may discover that one best fits your current needs, you may end up outgrowing it in time – leading you to one of the more extensive (and expensive) tools on this list.

With that said, let’s take a look at each Leadpages alternative in more detail.

1. Fieldboom

Fieldboom lets you create high-converting landing pages, opt-in campaigns, lead capture forms and quizzes all from the one product.

It’s a simpler, lightweight alternative to Leadpages that makes it easy to grow your email subscriber list and generate more leads with beautiful designs and high-converting opt-ins.

You can automatically sync your subscribers and leads to the other apps you use in your business, including Mailchimp, CampaignMonitor, Slack, Intercom and Salesforce.

2. Unbounce

Unbounce Landing Page Builder

Unbounce is up there with Leadpages in terms of popular landing page builders.  Touted as a “Platform You’ll Never Outgrow” (which goes against the point I made earlier in this section…), Unbounce allows you to easily create landing pages to capture user data, in turn leading to an increase in leads and sales.

Unbounce’s templates are created with various industries and audiences in mind, meaning you won’t begin with a rather generic landing page requiring tons of customization. If you are looking for customization options, though, Unbounce’s drag-and-drop feature far surpasses that of Leadpages at the current time.

That being said, Unbounce’s customization options may be a little too intense for some users. As mentioned, the templates offered by Unbounce are already optimized for specific industries. But, with so many options for customization, you might be tempted to make tweaks and changes to your landing page for the sake of doing so. Whether these tweaks will have a positive or negative effect on your landing page’s performance…well, only time will tell.

Unbounce is also rather costly – even at the most basic level. For startups or bootstrapped companies working with a limited budget, Unbounce might be a little too expensive for the time being.

For companies that can afford the monthly investment, though, Unbounce is a great way to generate high-quality leads that have a huge probability of conversion.

3. ClickFunnels

Clickfunnels Landing Page Builder

ClickFunnels is a marketing automation platform focuses on more than just creating lead capture pages: it focuses on the sales funnel as a whole. Because of this, its landing page creator operates under the lens of not just capturing leads, but keeping these leads moving through the customer life cycle.

When getting started with ClickFunnels, you’ll first decide what your purpose for creating a landing page is (e.g., capturing leads, making sales, soliciting membership signups). You’ll then be provided with a selection of templates to choose from that best fit your needs.

The process of creating a landing page within ClickFunnels is also rather simple (since it’s only part of a much larger process). Depending on what you’re looking to get from the tool, this could be a good or bad thing. If you’re interested in a robust, all-in-one solution to help optimize your sales funnel, ClickFunnels will certainly fit your needs.

In addition to integrating with most CRMs and email services, ClickFunnels also integrates with a number of payment providers, such as PayPal and Braintree. Again, if you’re looking for an all-in-one tool for your eCommerce business, ClickFunnels might be it.

Now for the not-so-great news.

ClickFunnels offers two tiers of service: a standard plan at $97 per month, and the full suite at $297 monthly. Unfortunately, the standard plan is rather limited, and may or may not offer the features you’re looking for. On the other hand, although you get everything ClickFunnels has to offer with the full plan, the nearly-$300 price tag is rather expensive.

The gap between the standard and premium service is also rather wide. While the standard service might not offer some of the features you’d like, some might find that they don’t actually use everything the full suite has to offer – meaning you also may end up wasting a decent amount of money each month.

If you can afford it, though, ClickFunnels definitely has what you’re looking for – both in terms of landing page creation and sales funnel optimization.

4. Wishpond

Wishpond Landing Page Builder

Wishpond is another all-in-one marketing suite that offers landing pages as a part of its overall service. As such, Wishpond focuses heavily on marketing automation, real-time analytics, and A/B testing. In turn, you’ll be able to use this data in conjunction with the other tools Wishpond offers, including email drip campaigns and social contests.

However, unlike most of the other tools on this list, Wishpond’s landing page creator is rather lacking in terms of design capabilities. While the service does offer a number of templates with a variety of purposes, many users have reported that a lack of customization options makes it difficult to align these templates with their companies’ overall look and feel.

Furthermore, though Wishpond does offer drag-and-drop customization, the feature is not nearly as intuitive or responsive as some of the other tools we’ve discussed in this article.

So, while Wishpond might not be the best tool to use to create your landing pages, it’s definitely useful when analyzing the performance of your lead capture pages and opt-in forms.

Wishpond also offers flexible pricing for companies in the midst of a growth spurt. While the “basic” advanced subscription allows for 10,000 leads per month (at $199/month), you can pay more to increase the lead cap (up to 1 million leads per month; hey – it could happen!).

5. InstaBuilder

Instabuilder Landing Page Builder

Unlike the rest of the tools we’ve discussed so far, InstaBuilder is a WordPress-only plugin (rather than a standalone service).

With InstaBuilder, you can create landing pages, squeeze pages, and popups that focus on keeping your visitors engaged with your site – while capturing their contact information in the process.

Like the tools we’ve already mentioned, InstaBuilder 2.0 provides a number of landing page templates while also offering drag-and-drop customization, as well. The plugin also offers a built-in image editor that utilizes Adobe’s Aviary SDK, extending customization capabilities to on-page images in addition to text and contact forms.

As with ClickFunnels, InstaBuilder focuses on the bigger picture with regard to your sales funnel. With its “Scarcity Builder” tool, you can use InstaBuilder to instill a sense of urgency in your visitors regarding your latest content, product, or service offering.

While, as mentioned, InstaBuilder was created primarily for use within WordPress, the tool does offer the ability to generate HTML code. This means you can create a landing page with InstaBuilder and then run the HTML version of it through the content management system of your choice.

InstaBuilder 2.0 is available in three different tiers, ranging in price from $79 to $197. Unlike most of the tools we’ve discussed, this is a one-time fee – making InstaBuilder by and large the most-affordable tool on the list.

6. KickoffLabs

KickoffLabs Landing Page Builder

KickoffLabs is perhaps the epitome of “what you see is what you get” in terms of a landing page creation tool.

KickoffLabs offers over 50 landing page templates that supplement a variety of purposes. You’ll have access to a number of “coming soon” templates, webinar signup templates, contest signup templates, referral forms, and more. Additionally, KickoffLabs allows you to create autoresponse “Thank You” emails via template for from scratch.

With KickoffLabs, you can also create affiliate programs that promote social sharing of your content. By placing your content behind a signup wall, then providing incentives for your audience to share this content, you can use your audience members as leverage to grow your mailing list even larger.

Another feature worth mentioning is KickoffLabs’ presentation of analytic data. While most of the tools offer analytics in one form or another, KickoffLabs does so in an incredibly simple and easy-to-understand manner at both the basic and premium levels of service.

Unfortunately, KickoffLabs lacks drag-and-drop customization – a feature that most users, at this point in time, have come to expect.  Finally, to get the most out of KickoffLabs’ features, you’ll need to at least invest in a premium account – which will cost you $79 a month. Even then, users have reported limited functionality within the tool.

7. Landingi

Landingi Landing Page Builder

For those just getting their feet wet with landing pages, Landingi is a much less intense lead capture page tool.

Similar to Unbounce, Landingi offers a variety of templates organized into a number of niches. Incredibly, all of Landingi’s templates (over 100 of them) are available for free.

Landingi also features a very intuitive drag-and-drop customization feature, as well. The tool ensures that any changes you make remain within the blueprint for your overall landing page, too. This means you won’t end up making changes that end up looking awkward once your landing page is published.

Compared to most of the other tools on this list, Landingi is incredibly affordable. The business tier subscription allows for 10 landing pages and up to 50,000 visitors – all for $29-49 per month. At $79-289, Landingi’s premium subscription is also rather inexpensive – especially when you consider it offers unlimited landing pages and no visitor cap.

While the tools on this list are constantly being updated and improved, Landingi’s team has also made some behind-the-scenes improvements, as well. Many past reviews of Landingi report that documentation and customer support had been lacking due to the fact that the company is based in Poland and either offered poorly-translated or untranslated documents. However, as evident on the company’s website, this issue has recently been addressed and remedied.

As we’ve alluded to throughout this article, no single tool in this collection is “better” than any of the others. Depending on your company’s current focus and needs, you might find one of them useful for now, and decide to switch to another tool as your organization grows.

You also want to consider where you need the most help in terms of developing your landing pages. For example, if you have a designer on staff, you probably don’t need a tool that focuses on helping non-designers create landing pages. Or, if you have a master data analyzer on your team, you might get full use out of one of the analytic-heavy tools we mentioned above.

As with all things marketing, it might come down to trial and error until you find the tool that works best for you. Here’s hoping we’ve helped you narrow down your search!
